Our July 4th all-you-eat annual pancake breakfast was lots of fun! We served over 200 hungry folks who kept coming back for more! Profit from the breakfast and the 50/50 raffle was over $1,300.
Agnes and I want to thank everyone who helped make this a success. On Tuesday, volunteers set up tables and chairs, set out decorations, and got the kitchen ready. Then, on Wednesday, folks showed up early to crack eggs, make coffee and orange juice, cook the eggs and pancakes, happily serve ham, eggs, and, of course, pancakes, wash dishes, clean off tables, take out the trash, and last, but not least, clean up, put away the tables and chairs, and mop the floors. With their help the breakfast was a big success!
Two people we must thank personally are Ruby and Bob Hood. After years of buying all the food, cooking and slicing the hams, and ensuring everything ran perfectly on the day of the breakfast, they passed the torch to Agnes. Ruby’s carefully written notes helped ensure success. Many, many thanks!
