BOARD TESTING MEETING ON SECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH
From now until October, the Lake Heritage Board of Directors will meet on Thursday at 7 pm instead of Wednesday. The board decided to change to give more residents a chance to attend and to vary a routine that has not changed in many years. At meetings members are able to address the board directly in a kind of open mic (some prefer mike) forum for a period of time limited to five minutes. Usually, before the regular meeting, there is a workshop where the board listens to and hammers out details about projects or agenda items so that, when they come into the regular meeting, they have a better understanding of a project or an item that may come up for a vote.
WORKSHOP VS. REGULAR MEETING
Typically, the workshop is one hour long beginning at 6 pm on the same night of the regular meeting but it may be longer depending on the number and complexity of the items being discussed. Association members are cordially invited to both meetings although the workshop which meets in the small room of the community center has limited seating for guests. It is and has always been every board’s preference to have as many members as possible in attendance.
HOW TO CONTACT A BOARD MEMBER & THE ASSOCIATION CALENDAR
The question about what’s happening at Lake Heritage and when can always be found on the association calendar. See: https://lakeheritage.org/calendar/ If attending a meeting is impossible, each of the director’s telephone number and email address is on page 2 of the monthly Newsletter. That information is readily available by downloading the Newsletter. All of our Newsletters from 2012 onward are availble online if you click on https://lakeheritage.org/about-us/newsletter/. Keeping lines of communication open between the board, our members and our office is vitally important and a high priority for all the directors.
