Creativity Club December Newsletter 2018 Fluid Art

Contributed by Brian Sears

Greetings from the Creativity Club!  On November 13th, we had Fluid Art Night featuring Erin Brady as our guest artist.  A huge Thank You Erin for hosting, and introducing us to a very flexible art form.  Erin is an excellent instructor and made the evening a lot of fun.  We had another strong turnout, and everyone had the opportunity to make two pieces.  See the pictures for a few of the finished artwork and the Creativity Club page on Facebook for more information and pics.

For our meeting on Saturday, December 8th, we will be having another Family Creativity Day, with a variety of activities for all ages, including Millefiori, Holiday Crafts, a Paper Airplane Contest, and door prize drawings.   We will be starting at 11:30 AM with Sociable Set-Up, and all the activities starting at 12;00 Noon. Check the Creativity Club Facebook page and the LH webpage as we get closer to the date for a full list of activities.  This is a free event. Hope you can make it!

New Sub-Groups:  In addition to our regular monthly meetings/activities, we are starting several sub-groups under the auspices of the Creativity Club.  To start, we are having a regular exercise group that will be meeting on Monday nights at 5:30 PM at the Community Center.  Also, we have a small group that meets occasionally for basket weaving.  Contact Samantha Richards if anyone in the Lake Heritage community wants to participate.  We also hope to start a writer’s group, a dance group, an acting/improv group, and a group of any musicians who would like to get together.  Let me know if you are interested in any of these subgroups or if you have a suggestion on other possible activities.

We hope to see you in the future – send me a note at to reserve a spot for Family Creativity Day, to join the Club, to provide suggestions on future activities, or for more information about the Creativity Club.

Cheers and Be Creative!   Brian Sears
