Greetings from the Creativity Club! On July 10th, we had a great turnout for Terrarium Night! Everyone made at least one succulent terrarium. Thank you to Samantha Richards for providing a majority of the raw materials, and to Mindy Simonsen for the idea. We all watched a video from YouTube, and kinda sorta improvised and made our own versions. A fun time – see the pics for the awesome end results.
For our August 14th meeting, we will be having Photography Night 2 featuring Brienna Waybrandt (our guest artist from October 2017). Brienna will be giving tips on outdoor photography, and we will all take shots of the lake and surrounding area, then reconvene to show and share our best shots. This is a free event for all Lake Heritage residents and their guests, although donations are always greatly appreciated.
At our June meeting, Samantha Richards was our activity leader for Basket Night! Everyone was able to make a basket from the starter sets made by Sam. Also, Sam donated several of her previously made baskets as part of our door prizes. Thank you, Sam! As seen in the pictures everyone did a great job making a basket.
We are actively planning our schedule for the remainder of the year, with a lot of fun activities being considered. Please check our Creativity Club page on Facebook for the latest information on Club activities and for additional pictures of events.
We hope to see you in the future – send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot for Photography Night, to join the Club, to provide suggestions on future activities, or for more information about the Creativity Club.
Cheers! Brian Sears
