Lake Heritage’s first Family Health and Safety Day event was held on Sunday May 19, 2019. While attendance was lower than we had hoped for, we received many favorable comments about the event. There was a bicycle safety check station and safety displays about boating, life jackets, smoke and CO detectors, first aid, CPR, and child seat inspections along with nutrition and healthy lifestyle information. All the First Responders and attendees enjoyed lots of food and snacks. A big “Thank You” to Adams Regional EMS, Collaborating For Youth in Adams County, the Gettysburg Fire Department, Mary Kay, Brendan Kressley for doing bicycle safety checks, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the Pennsylvania State Police and Wellspan Health for making this day possible for our residents.
