There is a club that gives its all to the Lake Heritage Community and that is the Fishing Club. They meet the second Tuesday of every month in the Community Center. It is a convivial and social group. If you are new to Lake Heritage and are looking for a place to meet your neighbors in a very relaxed setting for drinks and a pot luck dinner, this is your kind of club. They eat, drink and are merry but in addition they raise funds for a variety of charitable initiatives such as scholarships, donations to our local fire departments, repopulating the lake with fingerlings, and forming a core of volunteers for a host of other activities. Because the Club is so giving, they do have fund raisers to support their “run away” generosity.
One fundraiser is the July 4, 2018 Pancake Breakfast. It captures the spirit of the 4th by bringing many Lake Heritage families together to break bread and share conversation. The Pancake Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and goes on until 11:00 a.m. The cost for an unlimited amount of delicious pancakes and/or eggs served with ham, coffee or juice is a modest $8 for adults and $4 for children between the ages of 6 and 10. The small fry, children under 5, get in for free. You will find the atmosphere super friendly and the volunteer servers dish out generous portions with a smile and good humor.
All Lake Heritage Residents and guests are invited. Your money will go to support the Fishing Club and you can probably skip lunch. Friends and family of residents most cordially invited.
If you have questions about the pancake breakfast or about joining the Fishing Club at a later date, call Ms. Agnes Reuter at 717-334-4418 or Ms. Karen Reed at 240-994-0922. As always, watch for Lake Heritage Events which appear on the lakeheritage.org calendar.
