Water Quality Update : Friday, October 4, 2019

Contributed by Michael Caywood, Chairman, Lake and Dam Committee

With persistent algae in parts of the lake, copper sulfate was used to spot treat yesterday, 10/3.  This spot treatment will be followed up, next week, with the bio treatment that has been used throughout the summer season.

As a follow up to the Microcystin results from 9/18 testing (well mixed 1.348 ug/L, visually scummy 44.55 ug/L), conditions should be considered swim at your own risk.

Follow up Microcystin testing will be scheduled for the week of October 14th and results published upon receipt.
