Women’s Club Opens Holiday Season with Tree Lightening

Santa

Elf

The Lake Heritage Women’s Club sponsored its annual tree lighting ceremony which included snacks, hot chocolate, and snacks galore. Heading up the team of organizers were Agnes Reuter and Karen Kane. Phyllis French played the part of Santa’s elf and Santa’s identity is top secret.

Carol King set up a raffle which placed quite a few toys into eager hands. The festivities kicked off on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 5 p.m. and went on until 6:30 p.m. Perhaps it’s best to let a video and few pictures tell the rest of the story.

Here is Lake Heritage’s rendition of Jingle Bells. Maybe you’ll see them on America’s Got Talent…next year.

It’s cold in December. The fire-pit supplies some much needed heat on this crisp late afternoon December event.

Carol King arranges prizes for the raffle. It was 100% rigged…in favor of the kids!

A Holiday Chipmunk samples the cookies. Here is the organizer in chief of the festivities, Agnes Reuter wearing her holiday themed hat.
